Stake Pulse Beat III is the third edition of the series in Stockholm in less than three months, after episodes I and II in August and September 2026. It is also the first to grow: the pool rose from $60,000 to $80,000, and first place from $20,000 to $30,000, while the field stayed at sixteen teams.
The first two editions went to very different winners. Betclic Apogee Esports took the opener in August, beating Team Liquid in the final after losing to them earlier in the event; in September HEROIC won, beating 100 Thieves 2–1 in the final. The first champion has not come close since: Apogee finished fifth-to-eighth in the second edition and went out at the start of the third.
Several teams have become regulars. Fnatic, Johnny Speeds, Esport Academy Copenhagen and Apogee played both earlier editions, and ten of the twelve teams already known in the third edition’s field played at least one of the first two.
