As of mid-October 2026 the season window from June 2025 to January 2027 holds 51 Dota 2 events. Half of them are tier 1, and those carry almost all of the money: about $28.9 million of the $33.7 million on offer, close to nine dollars in every ten.
The calendar is anything but even. May 2026 was the busiest month, with six events starting, and July 2026 followed with five as the Esports World Cup and the run-up to The International filled the schedule. June of both years was the quietest, with a single start each time.
Most of the schedule is built from recurring series. BLAST SLAM has six editions in the window, DreamLeague and PGL Wallachia five each, FISSURE Universe four. PGL Wallachia is also why Bucharest is the most frequent named host city: all five of its seasons were played there. Only a handful of events are listed outside Europe, among them Shanghai, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and New Delhi.
