This qualifier decided who would play BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 in Malta: eight of the 32 teams went through, and those eight made up the main event’s entire field. The qualifier ended on January 18, and the main event began four days later, on January 22.
The money worked the other way round from most events. The whole $377,500 pool went to the 24 teams that did not qualify; the eight that did earned nothing here and played on for $772,500. Monte took the most of those who stopped one step short of Malta, $41,250.
Some of the biggest names left early. On the opening day FaZe Clan lost 1–2 to EYEBALLERS, and a day later Natus Vincere lost to Monte by the same score; both collected the minimum $7,500. The deciding matches were played on January 17 and 18, and the tickets went both to favourites of the season table and to sides from its middle: PARIVISION, HEROIC, GamerLegion and Team Liquid.
The qualifier’s biggest story came after it. PARIVISION went through without dropping a map in either of its matches on our record — 2–0 over ENCE and 2–0 over Astralis — and a week later won BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 itself, beating Team Falcons 3–0 in the final, so both finalists in Malta had come through this qualifier.
