IEM Cologne 2025 opened Team Spirit’s run of five titles this season, and it beat MOUZ twice on the way: 2–1 on July 29 on Ancient, Mirage and Overpass, then 3–0 in the final on August 3 on Mirage, Ancient and Nuke. In all it went 5–0 in series and lost two maps.

MOUZ reached that final by knocking out FURIA 2–1 and then Team Vitality, the leader of our season table, 2–0 on Mirage and Train. Team Falcons, third of the field by the table, went out in ninth to 12th.

Series here were rarely close: only 15 of 48 best-of-threes reached a third map, fewer than at all but six events of the CS2 season. The $460,000 for first place is Spirit’s third-largest payout of the season, behind the Esports World Cup 2026 and PGL Astana 2026.
