G2 Esports won the first Stake Ranked episode of the season in Barcelona without losing a series, 4–0. Its final opponent was a familiar one: G2 had already beaten BetBoom Team 2–1 on April 2, and BetBoom came back through HEROIC, 9INE and GamerLegion to meet it again on April 4, losing 2–1 once more, on Anubis, Ancient and Dust II.
The title came three weeks after NertZ joined G2 on March 13 and ended a run of seven tournaments without a trophy since BLAST Open Fall 2025. SunPayus, part of that lineup, joined FUT Esports on October 1.
The $25,000 first prize was only 2.3% of G2’s season earnings; its largest payout came from a second place, at FISSURE Playground #3. The event itself was tight, with half of its 14 best-of-three series going to a third map.
