Team Yandex came to Bucharest with ATF, who had joined the roster only two days before the event, and lost two maps in the whole tournament, going 15–2. It beat LGD Gaming 2–0 on September 26 and swept Natus Vincere 3–0 in the final the next day. At Season 8 the same club had finished 15th to 16th.

Natus Vincere reached that final through two series in two days: 2–0 over Xtreme Gaming on September 26, then 2–1 over LGD Gaming on September 27, the same day as the final. The title was Yandex’s second Wallachia of the season, after Season 7; Season 8 in between went to BetBoom Team.

The Dire side had the better of this event: Radiant won only 40.4% of its maps, against 50.9% across the season’s events. The prize split was one of the flattest of the season, with first place taking 30% of the pool, a larger share than at only four of 47 events.
