The final was another win for the club over FaZe Clan: before it, the winner had won all 2 of their series this season. Team Vitality closed 2025 by winning its second Major of the year, after Austin in June: both Majors held in 2025 went to the same club. In Budapest it lost one map in the whole playoff, beating The MongolZ and Team Spirit 2–0 each and FaZe Clan 3–1 in the final on December 14, on Nuke, Dust II, Inferno and Overpass.

FaZe’s run to that final was the biggest climb of the event: 17th of the field by our season table, it beat MOUZ 2–0 in the quarterfinal and Natus Vincere 2–1 in the semifinal. It had already lost both of its earlier series against Vitality this season, and the final made it three.

The field was among the strongest of the season, with eight of the top ten clubs of our table, and the playoff was unusually one-sided: only two of its six best-of-three series went to a third map. Legacy, seventh of the field by the table, finished 25th to 27th.
