Team Liquid has won The International twice, in 2017 and 2024, with two entirely different fives: not one player from the first title roster was part of the second. Of the 2024 champions only miCKe and Boxi are still with the club. They have been teammates since October 2, 2019, the longest-standing pair on any Dota 2 roster here.

This season Liquid has been the most reliable contender rather than the most frequent winner. It won three of its 22 events, but it finished in the top four twelve times, and nowhere is the pattern clearer than at PGL Wallachia: third, third, second and fourth in four consecutive seasons, without a title. The biggest win, BLAST SLAM VI in February 2026, paid $400,000 — about a fifth of the club’s prize money for the season.

September 2026 broke up the 2024 core. Ace left on September 13, Wisper joined a week later, and on September 28 Nisha, the third champion from Copenhagen who had still been on the roster, left as well. At BLAST SLAM VIII, a few days later, Liquid went out at ninth-to-twelfth.
