Xtreme Gaming won ESL Challenger China Season 2 in Shanghai, its only title of the season, after seven events without one. In the final on February 1 it beat Yakult Brothers 3–1, losing only the second map, a 29-minute game.
Yakult had played Vici Gaming earlier that day and beaten it 2–0, including a 62-minute map. Xtreme’s own path, by our table, was the easiest of any Dota 2 champion this season.
The split was one of the most top-heavy of the season: the winner took 56.3% of the $142,000, the second-highest winner’s share among the season’s Dota 2 events. The next edition went to Vici Gaming, with Xtreme third.
